- Laying cable routes according to a given cable plan
- Unreeling the camera cables from the drums ("Abtrommeln") and coiling them in figure eights ("Aufachten")
- Laying video, audio and power cables as instructed
- Helping set up the cameras for camera alignment
- Complete dismantling of the cameras after the production ends
- Setting up video and audio equipment as instructed
- Helping with installing set decorations and setting up monitors, video and audio
- Helping with stage work that requires no special technical skills, for example placing props and setting up tables and chairs
- Loading and unloading the transport trucks

The work takes place in the setting of ongoing television productions. All work is carried out as instructed by the technicians, the director or the production management. No previous experience in event or television technology is required.
